A co-founder and Managing Director of Industrial Sun, Wade has served as a development executive or General Counsel for over 2GW of utility-scale solar energy projects across the United States, including some of the largest projects in operation today. As a result of his efforts, more than $2 billion in funds have been successfully invested in operational renewable energy projects, with enough clean energy generated to power the equivalent of over 500,000 American homes. Earlier in his career, he was a General Counsel and land management executive in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Gungoll earned a B.A., with distinction, from Yale and holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Kirk leads the business and all commercial efforts at Pave Power. As a former NABCEP certified solar installer with a background in building early-stage businesses, he understands energy projects from the ground up and thrives on finding values-aligned partners with whom to build and scale innovative, customer-centric solutions. He brings strong industry leadership to Pave Power, having previously served as founding VP of Brookfield’s Distributed Generation development business, and as the commercial leader of GE Solar - where he architected the commercial strategy and core team for distributed energy development. Kirk holds a B.A. in History from Trinity College. When he’s not engrossed in his work at Pave, Kirk enjoys skiing, hot yoga, futile attempts at the game of golf, regularly attending the NCAA’s and Olympics for Wrestling, and bringing his wife and two children on as many weekend excursions and travel adventures as they’ll tolerate.

Matt brings a successful, diverse, and entrepreneurial background to NovoHydrogen with nearly a decade of experience in renewable energy. He founded NovoHydrogen to decarbonize industry, transportation, and power. Prior to founding NovoHydrogen, Matt was the first non-founder employee at Dimension Renewable Energy. He served as a Vice-President responsible for all aspects of the firm’s energy storage projects as well as supporting policy, origination, real estate, and corporate fundraising. These efforts contributed to a significant infusion of capital in spring 2021 from the Partners Group. Before Dimension, Matt was an integral part of the ForeFront Power leadership team, where his accomplishments included: driving energy storage strategy across the US, international expansion into Mexico and structuring tax equity for solar and energy storage assets. Prior to ForeFront Power, he was Chief of Staff for the Commercial & Industrial business unit of SunEdison reporting directly to the CEO of the group. Matt has dedicated his career to sustainable endeavors. He is passionate about deploying complex and innovative technologies that will decarbonize our society.


Matt completed a Master of Science in Sustainable Engineering from Villanova University in 2013. He holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from Cornell University, where he graduated cum laude while also excelling as a Division-1 athlete.

Manka is the Chief Commercial Officer at NovoHydrogen, prior to which she worked for Shell for over a decade. She brings rich experience across strategy and competitive intelligence, business development and project development. As a business developer, she identified regional growth targets for Shell’s upstream business, and as a Strategic Relationship Manager, she was accountable for supporting Shell’s relationship with its high value partners and advising internal leadership on partner value proposition. She has led and actively contributed across a wide range of business and functional projects, including partner deep dives, new country entries, high capital project development and energy transition. She is passionate about sustainability, the scope for decarbonization, and the increasing role of renewable energy in our society.

Manka has an MBA in Sustainability from the Yale School of Management. She also holds a Bachelors of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, India.

Kate brings over a decade of on-the-ground wind and solar energy development experience to NovoHydrogen, including 2+ GW of utility-scale projects developed and over 700 MW built. She serves as NovoHydrogen’s Chief Development Officer having worked throughout the United States in a variety of electricity markets across diverse communities. Kate is passionate about the convergence of community needs and decarbonizing the economy, ensuring broad stakeholder involvement in the projects she develops. At Tradewind Energy she was responsible for all aspects of project development including landowner outreach and site acquisition, permitting strategy, community engagement, coordination with engineering, energy resource, and transmission subject matter experts, and all critical path items to ensure project construction readiness. In addition to project development, Kate has experience in project M&A including due diligence and the de-risking of projects, optimizing performance, and structuring partnerships. Kate received a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC) before joining the Business Development team at FlexGen, an industry-leading battery energy storage integrator and software provider. At FlexGen, she was responsible for the full sales cycle from market identification to customer origination and acquisition, including contract negotiation and handover to the execution team. She received recognition for executing over 1 GWh of battery equipment contracts including the company’s largest single order.



In addition to the MBA from UMKC received in 2018, Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego where she graduated cum laude in 2008.

Bo has served as American Efficient’s Chief Investment Officer since 2016 and has played a leadership role on the investment committee of Modern Energy, American Efficient’s parent company. Prior to joining American Efficient, Bo held various marketing, origination, and finance roles at Citigroup, Credit Suisse, and JPMorgan, where he provided strategic planning, risk management, and liquidity services to the firms’ clients in the power sector. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an AB in economics from Harvard College, where he played varsity soccer. Bo lives in Durham with his wife, two sons, and two dogs.

Angela Fox is the Chief Markets Officer at American Efficient. Prior to joining American Efficient, Angela led business development teams at an international non-profit on over 75 bids from 40+ clients ranging from $400K to $750M, including large anchor USAID and BMGF projects. She led diversification efforts through managing collaborative efforts with corporate strategy on competitive funding landscapes and business opportunity planning as well as overhauling the strategic small bidding process for low dollar projects with new funders. Angela also worked in operations for a defense consulting firm overseeing OCONUS contractors on work with DOD, DOS, and foreign ministries. She graduated from Duke University with distinction and now lives in Durham with her husband and son.

Tyler Curtis serves as the Chief Technology Officer at American Efficient. Prior to joining American Efficient, Tyler led research, data science and product development teams at Capital One, Opower and Amazon. Most recently, Tyler led new product development at Capital One Labs, supporting the bank’s digital transformation by creating learning products focused on software development, machine learning and data engineering for 9000+ technology staff. As a founding member of Opower, Tyler built the Data Science practice. He invented the algorithmic underpinnings of Opower’s energy efficiency software business, securing the company’s first three patents. Tyler holds a BSE from Duke University. Tyler lives in Durham, NC with his wife, two sons and a remarkable three-legged dog.

Pedro joined Faro from his role as Finance Executive at Renova Energia, the largest Brazilian wind Independent Power Producer (IPP) company in Brazil, where he was responsible for corporate restructuring. Previously, Pedro was an Investment Director at Rioforte Brazil, a private equity investment holding company with EUR 3 billion of assets under management. At Rioforte, Pedro held board positions in renewable energy (hydro and wind) and agribusiness portfolio companies. Prior to this, Pedro was a Director at Ecoprogresso, where he was deeply involved in the creation and investment of the first Portuguese carbon fund (Luso Carbon Fund) and led successful investments in Brazil and China.

Felipe joined Faro Energy in 2016 as Solar Engineering Specialist. Previously, Felipe was a Senior Analyst for Business Development, Market Research and Solar DG Go to Market Strategy at Renova Energia, the largest Brazilian wind Independent Power Producer (IPP) company in Brazil. During this period, he also took part in international M&A transactions, utility scale solar projects development and energy auctions. Prior to Renova, Felipe held roles at several e-commerce start-ups. Felipe holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of São Paulo.
